How Cosmetic Bonding Works

The Procedure
Depending on the extent of the work being done, you can expect your cosmetic bonding appointment to last about one to two hours. During your appointment, your dentist will apply a natural looking composite resin to the tooth in order to cover small cracks or gaps. The resin is then hardened, smoothed and polished to a natural shine.
Adjusting to Your New Look
There will likely be a brief adjustment period following your cosmetic bonding session, as you get used to the new shape, size, and appearance of your teeth. But don't worry, before long your teeth will feel normal once again.
Maintenance
No extra care is required for keeping your new dental bonds looking their very best. Simply treat them as you would your natural teeth, brushing thoroughly twice daily and flossing once a day.
